Levy Flight-Based Improved Grey Wolf Optimization: A Solution for Various Engineering Problems

Optimization is a broad field for researchers to develop new algorithms solving various types of problems. There are popular techniques being worked on improvement. Grey wolf optimization (GWO) one such algorithm because it efficient, simple use, and easy implement. However, GWO has several drawbacks as stuck in local optima, low convergence rate, poor exploration. Several attempts have been made recently overcome these drawbacks. This paper discusses some strategies that can be applied its article proposes novel enhance the which was GWO, also compared with other algorithms. limitation becoming optima when used complex functions or large search space, so issues further addressed. The most remarkable factor purely depends initialization constraints population size initial positions. study demonstrates improved position by applying same size. As result, this enhanced exploration capability presented, statistical results presented demonstrate superiority.
